Adam, Dana, Hannah, Charlotte

Adam was born and raised in Dry Fork, Virginia, by Christian parents. It wasn’t until the end of his first year at university that he turned from his sin and trusted in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. After three years of teaching math, Adam attended The Master’s Seminary to learn how to pastor and preach biblically. There, he met his wife, Dana. They have been married since 2011 and have two children. Adam joined the pastoral staff of GraceLife London in November 2015.

Our Mission:

The local church is God’s chosen instrument to communicate the good news of the Gospel. In word and deed, the local church is called to represent what God has done and where He is taking the world. We are His witnesses and His ambassadors. We are sent into the world but set apart as a light to the nations. As we go, we are to make disciples who make disciples who make disciples.

For the training up of men to become faithful pastors in the U.K. through Hermeneia.

Jonathan & Sharon Moorhead

Jonathan and Sharon have been missionaries with Grace Community Church since 2008, having served in Russia (2008–2014) and the Czech Republic (2016–2022). They are now devoted to planting Geneva Bible Church (GBC) alongside fellow missionaries John and Meg Glass.

As an English-speaking church, GBC will serve the large expat community in Geneva. The prayer is that these individuals will be trained and then return to their native countries to further the Gospel.

A significant ministry of the church is biblical counseling (Jonathan and Sharon are both ACBC-certified). Additionally, an outreach opportunity will be to conduct evangelistic Calvin tours.

Jonathan will continue teaching with The Master’s Academy International, particularly at the European Bible Training Center in Berlin. Sharon serves in women’s ministry, music ministry, hospitality, and homeschooling.

Jonathan and Sharon have five children: Nahum, Isaac, Jesse, Jonas, and Miriam.

Goals:

  • Growth in learning the French language
  • Evangelism opportunities through personal interaction, counseling, and Calvin tours
  • Training faithful men at GBC

Derek & Elizabeth Bass

Serving at a missions seminary in needy Western Europe, with alumni from over 85 different countries across Europe, Asia, and Africa, Derek and Elizabeth have a tremendous opportunity to impact the nations through their students.

This mission is carried out through Derek’s teaching ministry as a professor of Hebrew and Old Testament Theology, guiding students from learning the Hebrew alphabet to proclaiming Christ from the entire Old Testament. Additionally, their work extends to leadership roles within the seminary:

  • Derek serves as the Director of Institutional Relations and as a member of the President’s Cabinet.
  • Elizabeth serves as the Marketing Coordinator, working to bring cohesion and clarity to the seminary’s communication and messaging. Her role helps attract the right students for the programs, ensuring the seminary continues to impact the nations through its students (2 Tim. 2:2).

Derek is married to his best friend, Elizabeth, and together they have four children: Elijah, Caleb, Micah, and Anna. Derek enjoys sports, the outdoors, and exploring new places with his family.

Gary & Rachel De León

Gary and Rachel are serving the refugee community in Spain. Regardless of their educational background, refugees face the dual challenges of navigating a foreign language and overcoming governmental bureaucracy. Even those with college degrees and professional careers are generally unable to secure work within their fields of expertise. As a result, language proficiency and job placement remain their greatest challenges.

The presence of the Gospel in Spain is limited, with only 2% of the population identifying as evangelical Christians. Most evangelical churches are small and primarily made up of older adults, with many congregations originating from countries outside of Spain.

Prayer Requests

  • Pray for the church in Spain and for God’s Word to be spread throughout the nation.
  • Pray for our ministry as we support the needs of refugees while pointing them to Christ.
  • Pray for our boys to find good Christian friends and for their biblical education at home.
  • Pray for the friendships we have begun to build with other parents at our boys’ school.
  • Pray for Gary’s mother, who lives in Guatemala and continues with post-chemo checkups.

Daniel & Michelle Mollenkopf

Daniel grew up in San Antonio before graduating from Texas A&M with a Master’s in Financial Management, he worked as a CPA for six years in the Houston area. He was the part-time and then full-time youth pastor at Founders Baptist for six years. He completed a Master’s of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2012. In November 2012 he helped plant Redeemer Community Church in San Antonio as the preaching elder. Daniel and his wife Michelle have two children, Had don who is in 9th grade and Prentiss is a 7th grader. Michelle home schools the children.

The Q family

The Q family lives and works among several unreached and unengaged people groups in South Asia.

Pastor Sam & Sue

Sam is the pastor of an established Baptist church located just outside Amman, Jordan. The church is actively involved in training young men for the pastorate, equipping them for faithful ministry.

A Founders pastor has visited the church twice, supplementing its training efforts. Plans to return have been delayed due to COVID and, more recently, unrest in the region.

In addition to pastoral training, the church is deeply engaged in ministering to women and children who have been displaced by civil war and are now living as refugees. The women’s ministry includes teaching marketable skills while also sharing the Gospel.

Bryan & Kerra Twombly

The Twombly family moved to Madang, Papua New Guinea, with FinisTerre in June 2023. They are currently learning the language and culture, but in the years to come, they hope to plant a faithful church or strengthen an existing church to maturity.

In addition to church planting, they plan to establish pastoral training and translate English resources into Tok Pisin to equip local believers.

Bryan also serves as the Field Director in Papua New Guinea, leading the ministry in the country. He seeks to provide shepherding support to teams as they come and serve.

Kyle & Maiah Baker

Kyle and Maiah are the parents of three boys. Kyle, a graduate of The Expositors Seminary, serves with Grace Community Bible Church in Nairobi, a church planted in 2020.

They have joined the team as full-time missionaries, with Kyle serving as a pastor alongside an experienced national pastor. His role includes discipleship, student ministry, family ministry, and leadership training.

There is a tremendous need for churches in Kenya that proclaim a clear Gospel message and prioritize sound teaching and discipleship, as much of the Christian church in the country is mired in false teaching.

Prayer Request

Although we still miss the familiarity of people, places, and food from the U.S., we are thankful to be finding new norms here in Africa.

Laurens Pruis

Laurens is starting a new Reformed church plant in Rotterdam. He was educated at Southern Seminary and attended Kenwood Baptist Church.

He serves with Reaching and Teaching, a relatively new missions agency that prioritizes expository preaching in missions over traditional approaches such as church planting models, ESL programs, or business-as-missions efforts.

Laurens has a heart for expository preaching in The Netherlands, particularly in a city bereft of any solid Reformed church. He has gathered a core group of like-minded believers to begin this important work.
