Preparing for Worship: December 3, 2017
Text: Mark 9:1-13
Title: “The Glory of the King”
Jesus told the crowd and His disciples that some of them would not taste death until they had seen the kingdom of God in its power (9:1). In our verses for this Lord’s Day, we are told of something astounding that three of Christ’s disciples saw just six days later. Peter, James, and John, saw Jesus transfigured. Those men received a view of the glory of Israel’s King unveiled. We will examine what they saw and consider what it meant for them, and what it means for us.
