Phillip Marshall joined Founders Baptist Church as Pastor of Adult Education and Discipleship in March 2014 and serves as a staff elder.
Phillip is originally from Long Beach, Mississippi. After graduating from The Master’s College, he received a Master of Divinity from Westminster Theological Seminary (CA) and a PhD in Old Testament Studies from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Prior to serving at Founders Baptist Church, he served as an elder at Immanuel Baptist Church in Louisville, KY, and at Bethel Bible Fellowship in Katy, TX. Phillip is also an Assistant Professor of Biblical Languages at Houston Baptist University. (His blog is biblicallanguages.net.)
Phillip and his wife, Cheryl, have been married since 1994, and they have three children. Phillip enjoys family time, reading, basketball, camping, movie music, playing Hebrew or Greek Scrabble, and a good cup of coffee.
