Biblical Counseling

Biblical Counseling/Discipleship is the Spirit-empowered process of one Christian coming alongside another with words of encouragement, admonition, comfort and help, drawn from Scripture and presented in the context of relationship towards God and man (full of grace and truth, John 1:14).

The goal of this counseling is that the “brother” or “sister” in need of spiritual counsel (dealing with a sin or trial) would grow in his understanding of how the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ speaks to every area of his new life in Christ, and by God’s grace, in grateful obedience in every circumstance to the building up of the church, the evangelization of the lost and all for the glory of God.

At Founders, we value Jesus Christ and teach that the intent of all doctrine in the Bible is to know and be like Him. But doctrine has no real benefit without investing it and applying it to our lives. And this is where Biblical Counseling comes in. It is the discipline of practical theology, that is, moving from the theological principles of God’s Word to the practical outworking of those principles in the life of the believer.

So, we offer one-on-one counseling and discipleship opportunities through this ministry with the goal of people understanding the full gospel of Jesus Christ and having that transform their lives one day at a time.
